Licensed Master Social Worker
Amy Evans completed her Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University in 2001. She is an LMSW in the state of Michigan. During the first years of her career, she worked with refugee children, including spending time working in refugee camps. In 2008, Amy moved back home to Michigan and began working in the mental health field. She spent 12 years working in the local Community Mental Health system, where she worked with a mental health crisis team and provided outpatient therapy. After switching to private practice in 2022, Amy took her Basic ART training in 2023.
Soon after taking her Basic ART training, Amy began seeing the incredible outcomes clients were experiencing from ART and signed up for the next available advanced training in Michigan. Amy soon decided to become a trainer due to seeing the continued improvement of her clients. She enjoys sharing the gift of ART with other clinicians as well as experiencing the quick improvement ART offers clients. Amy is also trained in CBT, DBT, TFCBT, and CPT. She continues to incorporate these skills and techniques in therapy.
Amy provides outpatient therapy at Counseling Centers of West Michigan in Greenville, Michigan. She is willing to provide ART training at any location. She enjoys staying in touch with clinicians to hear how ART is changing lives, as well as providing support for new clinicians as they learn to incorporate ART into their practice.
