Chancie Chaney

LPC, LCMHC

Chancie is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a private practice in the Pittsburgh, PA region and a virtual practice in North Carolina. She holds a Master Certification in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and advanced training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

She was drawn to ART after seeking a structured, brain-based approach to trauma treatment that could help clients resolve persistent symptoms in ways traditional talk therapy often could not. ART’s use of guided eye movements and memory reconsolidation principles aligned with her deep interest in how experiences are encoded and meaningfully updated.

Chancie’s earlier professional years were spent in youth leadership development, international nonprofit work supporting marginalized women and children in Jordan and Syria, and school counseling. These experiences deepened her commitment to serving individuals whose lives have been shaped, and often interrupted, by trauma. Over time, her work transitioned into private practice, where she now focuses primarily on adults and parents seeking to move beyond the lingering effects of distressing experiences.

She values ART for its structured protocol, emphasis on client control, and ability to facilitate meaningful change efficiently and respectfully. She is passionate about helping clinicians develop confidence and fluency in ART and brings warmth, clarity, and practical application to her teaching.

Chancie is intentional about creating inclusive, affirming training spaces that honor diverse identities, cultural contexts, and lived experiences.
