Marsha Mandel

LMHC, CCTP

Marsha Mandel earned a master’s degree in Psychology from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York, and  Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey. She holds certifications as a Master ART Therapist, Rational Living Therapist – Level 3 (CBT), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and holds a certification in Integrated Mental Health/Addictions Treatment Training (IMHATT) from Columbia Psychiatry and the New York State Psychiatric Institute.

Mandel has worked with a broad range of issues in intensive outpatient programs as a therapist and clinical supervisor. She has worked with individuals, families, and groups, and has presented at conferences including the National Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (NACBT), New York Mental Health Counselors Association (NYMHCA), and the New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (NYAPRS).

Her main therapeutic modalities are Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART) and cognitive behavioral therapy. She considers self-compassion, mindfulness, body relaxation, visualization, and developing a nonjudgmental perspective as additional, essential elements of effective therapy. Marsha developed Objective Perspective Therapy Tools for guided cognitive work with clients.

Marsha has a private practice in Newburgh, New York, and is active as a Lead ART trainer for Basic, Advanced, and Enhancement levels. In addition to using ART every day in her practice, she is enthusiastic and excited to share ART with as many clinicians as possible!
