Erin Armer PhD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Master ART Practitioner
Erin Armer, PhD is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in California (PSY31832) and a Master Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) Practitioner. She completed her doctoral training at UNC-Chapel Hill and two postdoctoral fellowships at Stanford Medicine, one supporting parents of infants in the NICU and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, and one working with children and families facing serious medical illness. She subsequently served as a Clinical Instructor at Stanford Medicine.
Her path to this work is both professional and personal. She has lived through a NICU hospitalization with her own child and spent years parenting a child with complex medical needs and severe disabilities alongside her siblings. She knows firsthand what it means to navigate a medical system that never sleeps, and what it feels like when the experience of parenthood looks nothing like what you expected.
Dr. Armer specializes in trauma and PTSD, birth trauma, NICU parent support, perinatal mental health, and grief and loss. She is also certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C).
