About Thomas Snyder
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Mr. Snyder is a Maryland-based Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Master ART Practitioner who provides psychotherapy in a group practice. His clinical experience spans community-based, hospital, and private practice settings, where he has worked with individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.
ART is central to Mr. Snyder’s clinical practice, offering an experiential approach to helping clients process distressing experiences and move forward when they feel stuck. In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Snyder has assisted with ART training and contributes to peer consultation with fellow ART practitioners.
As an ART Trainer, Mr. Snyder is passionate about advancing the field of mental health by expanding awareness of innovative, evidence-informed approaches to treatment. He believes that broadening public understanding of what therapy can offer is an important part of this progress, particularly in helping people recognize that effective trauma-informed care can benefit individuals facing a wide range of challenges, not only those traditionally associated with trauma. Through training and consultation, Mr. Snyder hopes to help clinicians bring ART to more clients and contribute to a broader understanding of what meaningful therapeutic change can look like.
