The treatment is called Accelerated Resolution Therapy or ART.
“Based on very encouraging results observed to date with the use of ART, multiple studies are being designed and pursued including a head to head randomized controlled trial versus Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy, which is a first-line evidence-based therapy routinely used by VA clinicians, so this is very exciting,” said Dr. Kevin Kip a USF College of Nursing Professor and Executive Director of the USF research center.
