Marsha Mandel

Marsha Mandel earned her master’s degree in Psychology from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York and a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and Connecticut. Marsha holds certifications as a Master-level ART Therapist and Lead ART Trainer, a Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II), Rational Living Therapist – Level 3 (CBT), and in Integrated Mental Health/Addictions Treatment Training (IMHATT) from Columbia Psychiatry and the New York State Psychiatric Institute.
Since 2010, Marsha has served in various clinical, administrative, and supervisory roles within intensive outpatient programs, maintained a private practice, and trained clinicians in ART. She has presented at conferences such as the National Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (NACBT), New York Mental Health Counselors Association (NYMHCA), and the New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (NYAPRS).
In her practice, Marsha primarily utilizes Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART) and cognitive behavioral therapy, complemented by approaches that include self-compassion, acceptance, mindfulness, body relaxation, visualization, and fostering a nonjudgmental perspective. She has engaged in focused training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Brainspotting, which are among many workshops that have enriched her trauma-informed approach.
Marsha specializes in treating trauma and anxiety, has expertise and lived experience with neurodivergence, and has been an active Lead ART Trainer at Basic and Advanced levels since 2017.
