Julie Stender holds a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of St. Thomas/ The College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota. Additionally, she holds a Life Coaching Certificate from Adler Graduate School in Richfield, Minnesota.
Julie has worked as a therapist for the over 20 years in a variety of settings such as adoption agencies, alternative school programs, community mental health, and intensive outpatient programming.
She works diligently to meet people where they are and to make sure they feel as comfortable as possible in therapy. Her approach is eclectic, melding the best of many therapy approaches and theories to find just the right recipe for her clients.
In 2017, Julie completed Improv Training which provided many of the ‘think on your feet’ skills necessary for working with a variety of clients. She finds fun ways to integrate Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART) into sessions with clients of all kinds.
Currently, Julie has a private practice, Starfish Services, LLC, in Chanhassen, Minnesota. Her approach is solution-focused, client-centered and driven by a genuine interest in helping people create the lives they want.
